Now this one was not one of the ones I thought of in the night, but it started with a piece of white silk that I dyed with golds and browns and then did some stamping on various parts of it. It has just been crying out to be part of a quilt, or in this case a "quilt-let" as I think of tiny quilts. She just couldn't help herself... she "tried to be GOOD," but it wasn't in the cards. Her mother wants to stay all buttoned up about it. This 6"x8" quilt-let is off to SAQA's Capitolizing on Fabric event to partake in the silent auction.
I have always been an artist and with art quilts I have found a way to combine my two loves of painting and textiles.
