This show was well run, even including a sandwich bar. (pre-made Panera) the only bad part was no vegetarian option. No, I am not 100% veg but I like a veg sandwich much better than a processed meat sliver sandwich!!!
Saturday I went to this quilt show in Sebring and it was great. Really interesting vendors and lots of quilts. Loved the one selling and displaying feed sack fabrics. She even had a tutorial sheet about their origins and history. (Pat's Sacks of Titusville) This show was well run, even including a sandwich bar. (pre-made Panera) the only bad part was no vegetarian option. No, I am not 100% veg but I like a veg sandwich much better than a processed meat sliver sandwich!!! My gang of quilt judgers! We all loved this whole cloth Matisse patterned fabric. Hard to see, but the best part is the rickrack used instead of binding! Yes this is a kit you can buy... Lovely work by Heidi Proffetty! Not in the show, but exhibited in the Juki dealer's booth. When I first saw these on the internet, I thought people were painting them and quilting them, now I know its a panel you can buy.

This was a real challenge! Working with silk, and especially quilting it, is so different from cotton. This is a painted and dyed whole cloth silk quilt depicting Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone Park. Here is an inspirational picture of the spring itself.
Well Hey there! What is this thing? Seen in Indiantown by us, that's Martin County, we have this exotic West African lizard the Agama agama. Its also known as the Rainbow Lizard because the males are many colored. But they are a threat to our native lizards because they EAT them... yes that's pretty threatening.
