These plants began as air plants and drop down a curtain wall of roots that consume their host, then anything in the way, including your home! We have watched this tree kill our crepe myrtle and then grow enormous in a few short years so it was time to say good-bye.... The roots stuck up out of the ground so high, it was hard to drive over them with the golf cart or wheelbarrow... Tree Men attack by nibbling away at the giant limbs... All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!

I'm under deadline trying to make a quilt... and my room is such a mess!!!!!! the more I work, the worse it gets... so I am trying a "TIME OUT" and an organizational moment. Can u help me??? SOOOOOOOOOOOO! what to do???
These simple squares from Moda by Three Sisters came together with some other fabric I had to make a cool rural/vintage look lap quilt. I am super happy with how it came out!
Taylor Creek Stormwater Nature area provides a great place to see wild life up close and personal. I saw 21 alligators, 1 turtle, 2 sandhill cranes, many herons, anhingas, cormorants and grackles and even a blue heron nesting. There's nothing between you and the wildlife, alligators are sunning right beside the foot path...
