Love the sketchy little pictures I see everywhere these days... trying my hand here at some "garden blocks!" SOOOOOOOOO, still deciding what border do they like? Have tried a bunch and I think this one is winning so far. Obviously its not sewn down yet.......
Finally had time for a boat ride. So beautiful... lots of birds to see, couldn't get photos of all of them of course. There were osprey, egrets, blue heron, little blue heron, night heron, gulls, cormorants, anhingas, pelicans, moor hens, muscovies and more and more! As sun set and the temps went down, it was cold to me on the front of the boat... see pix.
Just love sequins. They can be cupped or flat. The flat ones are traditionally known as "paillettes" by dressmakers. They can also be purchased in real silver or gold! How fun is that?
Big rain with the sun out just as we got home from VA in WPB. Very pretty and sparkly. I love to see the rain. Also included is a start on a flamingo quilt. Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
Wearing a different hat, so to speak, (as opposed to "artist") I joined DAR "besties" to have a beautiful Saturday morning and attend the dedication for the flanking monuments at the Battle Of Okeechobee State Park.
This panel made a cute kid's quilt. Felt the borders were wide and boring so added some bubbles and starfish and that pepped things up pretty well.
So awesome to see sandhill cranes again, just hanging out in the yard. The first time I ever saw them was on the Platte River in Nebraska. Did you know they are also native to northeastern Siberia?
