The ocean is soooooooo inspiring. You will see me at the water's edge, I am the one standing with my feet in the water!
We camped here at Ormond Beach, FL. It cost $86 for one night in the camper but it was worth it! Coral Sands Campground has cute cabins, a hotel and campsites. Very nice place and perfectly maintained.
Neighbors saw a coyote crossing in their front yard last night! Guess we will need to get a sign:
We used to see them all the time on Padre Island, TX. They just sort of ghost along...
Awesome images thanks to the net!
Hope you get a chance to see this show... it should be good. I am honored to have had a quilt accepted to it, Tribute to Selene, which is included in the montage the show committee put together above. It is the slice 5th from the left and is composed of silvery moon images. Selene was the ancient Goddess of the Moon.
Here is Tribute to Selene:
So cold last night! It was 4 degrees this morning and Samantha Jane did not like that! She is a FL dog for sure.
Hard to heat up the house when its this cold. 50 degrees in the TV room last night, brrrrrrrrrr! Got it up to 60 which seemed a vast improvement.
Learning folded log cabin technique as taught by Sarah Kaufam. Working on a Four Seasons idea, these are winter blocks. The two matching blocks are full sized, the middle block still needs some more logs, the filmy blue flowers along the edges won't be showing in the finished product as that is the "muslin" or scrap fabric the logs are mounted on.
I love the rich texture this technique produces, totally different from conventional log cabins but totally the same too!
No I didn't make this this year! Actually worked on it all through the fall and winter and finally got it where I want it. So what should the name be? Sea Turtle with Yellow Butterflies? They are butterfly fish... I haven't thought of a great name yet but looking for suggestions. Here are some closer-ups...
I have always been an artist and with art quilts I have found a way to combine my two loves of painting and textiles.
