The weatherman got it right, yesterday we had a doozy of a storm with tons of rain, the goldfish pond and the pool filled up... Lots of wind and lightning. Interesting, a big ball of mistletoe was in our front yard and we don't even have any growing. It had to blow out of one of the grandfather oaks, probably Jimmy's, that are nearby.
It is such a unique looking plant. Wish it could survive somewhere besides the top of an oak. The only way to get it at Christmas is to shotgun it out of the tree...
The poinciana tree and the palms make lots of yard litter, guess that is why some people hate them!
The bougainvillia and croton were unaffected...
But there were a few porch casualties...
Survivors up in the tree...
I have always been an artist and with art quilts I have found a way to combine my two loves of painting and textiles.
