This quilt highlights the plight of baby sea turtles... only one in a thousand makes it to adulthood. Here I show threats from large birds, fish, fishing nets and sea trash and as two baby turtles make their way.

I loved seeing the purple gallinule! and of course the alligators. Here is a great rest stop along the trail too.
SAQA is having another Benefit Auction this spring at the Spring Conference and all the pieces must be 6 x 8 inches! But worse than that, they will be matted down to 4.5 x 6.5!!!!!!!!! That is so tiny! It was a real challenge to come up with a design that would still read in this tiny format. Quicky cut paper mat for checking dimensions.
This is the most beautiful plant, and it is so accommodating. All you need do to start a new plant is stick a piece in the ground. It makes a shrub or small tree and has lush, dark leaves. The Latin name is Clerodendrum quadrilocolare and most people don't seem to know a common name for it but I found it listed on the web as Starburst Flower, bronze-leaved Clerodendrum, or Shooting Star. It is native to New Guinea and the Philippines.
Aquarium Art Walk is a collection of original art designed to raise awareness and funding to build a world class aquarium. This opportunity will provide Brevard county with a beautiful place to learn about conservation, observe sea life and learn about the ecology of the region. I have two pieces in the show, Tidepools and Sandpipers.
