My dog Samantha and I just went for a walk and it was almost dark, the wind was really gusty, and there were low, wet looking clouds scudding by overhead. Across the cow pasture, three eagles were putting on an aerobatic display, cavorting in the wind, chasing each other and gliding and rolling in the squirrely winds that had lesser birds staying earthbound. No camera, I just had to put some other eagle pictures up to remember them by. Eagles are so big, you can see them for such a long distance.... and they keep their wings straight across when you see them, not veed or bent. It was a great sight.
I love Seminole piecing. It is so amazing to the eyes. I did a painting of 2 girls wearing clothing with Seminole piecework on it and enjoyed painting it.... now I am playing with making a strip quilt with it.
I have always been an artist and with art quilts I have found a way to combine my two loves of painting and textiles.
