I think I have found it... the perfect little purse pattern. This is so cute and makes up quick and easy. Its my new favorite purse. A pattern by Joan Hawley of Lazy Girl Studio.
This week I was delighted by Lynn Rinehart of "Stitch" who gave us a trunk show and talk at the Rose Center Quilters meet. She is a modern quilter to the core and a fantastic speaker. So hilarious, you HAVE to hear about her sewing her finger with the long arm at an expensive class while all her fellow quilt appraisers looked on.... she is hilarious!
Check her out at www.theStitchTVShow.com with her wild antics as well as those of her partner in crime Pam Cobb. Here are some snaps I took...
This little quilt started as a demonstration for the Parrotsville Quilt Guild. I explained my version of backwards applique and showed them each step of the way.... so of course I had to go ahead and finish it!
Happy Labor Day to all and did we ever have the whopping-est hail storm here! Wow!
Well i just had to STOP on embellishing this crazy quilt "Springtime" cause I entered it in a show at the Rose Center and it has to be there Tuesday.... but it is so hard to quit adding and adding more and more laces and beads and.... I know I will be starting some more "crazy" again SOON!
Here are a few close-ups:
I have always been an artist and with art quilts I have found a way to combine my two loves of painting and textiles.
