This next quilt, "American Pride" by Barbara Wood is clean and bright and makes you hope for better days. Her color work is spectacular and just goes like a marching band.
This show, presented by the Rose Center Quilt Guild, is open Sept. 7 through October 17. It is a visual feast! It is the 21st annual show and this guild knows how to have fun. I took lots of pictures but some of them were not so great as pictures, so I didn't want to share them and make the quilts look less than spectacular so here are just a few of my favorites. This is "Midnight" by Susie Hunter and I just love this quilt. She has incorporated some really nice machine stitching... and an awesome owl! I love all of her fabric choices too. This next quilt, "American Pride" by Barbara Wood is clean and bright and makes you hope for better days. Her color work is spectacular and just goes like a marching band. This next quilt from Barbara Webster is a sweet abstract and a departure from her work that I have seen. My picture of it was not the best but I had to include "Rose Breasted Grosbeak." Again I am attracted to color and love the combinations in Carol Snapp's "Snappy Squares." This next quilt was hard to photograph also as it was deep in the interior of the room and somewhat shaded, in addition to being "Sunshine and Shadows." It was created by Donna Japp and I love the subtle watercolor effects. It is a very soothing quilt. "Garden Stepping Stones," by Fay Andrews also caught my eye with its clean, bright and welcoming appearance. You have almost 2 more weeks to go to Morristown and catch this great show!
