Well we started a round robin recently and here is the first piece I received:
OK, absolutely gorgeous and totally intimidating!!!!!!! And LJ is the most perfect an exacting quilter around, no pressure there... ha! ok what to do, if you know me, you know I am more arty than exact. I have been reading an interesting book Penny Haren's Pieced Applique, so I decided to try a technique. I chose the 1941 Nine Patch, pictured below:
So now I have the corner blocks; I was planning to place plain fabric as borders between them but that was way too boring and simplistic.
I love Seminole piecework - that would go well with this. I have lots of fabric to choose from because LJ sent along extra fabric, removing the angst of matching her choices.
So here it is.... I love it! Can't wait to see how it turns out when its been to all the quilters.
