Besides the amazing fact that this little ole south Florida group attracted two amazing quilt luminaries, Luke Haynes and Victoria Findlay Wolfe. Just wow for me.... Here are some of their quilts I got to see:
Quilt Beach 2015 in Vero Beach, FL was an unqualified success according to me. Not saying everything ran perfectly smoothly, just that everyone was fabulous and worked around the obstacles and it was just a super event! Besides the amazing fact that this little ole south Florida group attracted two amazing quilt luminaries, Luke Haynes and Victoria Findlay Wolfe. Just wow for me.... Here are some of their quilts I got to see: Luke's class was awesome, starting with cutting up Goodwill clothing in two colorways, slicing and dicing and re-attaching them to make new fabrics, slicing and dicing more and more re-attaching until finally after HOURS we were cutting out SQUARES. So much fun. Product not finished yet, will show up soon. I have some plans that include dyeing some background fabric to go with the squares cause I want it BIG. Here are a few pics from the classroom... top secret of course....
