Had to make goodies for darling new arrival in the family. Love these bibs from Dharma Trading company, they are white terry when they arrive and plain as can be. So I dyed them Easter egg baby colors with an emphasis on lavender and gray because those are baby's color and also the colors in the quilt I made for her. Colors included Sage, Silver Gray, Lemon Yellow, Orchid, and Sky Blue which really came out a lovely lavender. Then I had to add some trims... Also got a onesie and hat that became Silver Gray and a blankie with hoodie that became orchid so I added lace to it. And then I had to make a bag to hold all these goodies. Hope she does not need a prom dress soon.... !!!!
Here is a quilt I made earlier this year for a 3 color challenge. I just got it back and it reminds me of the cold and snowy winter days! Its for sale in my Etsy store.
OK all done and I love this quilt! it has added script hidden in the quilting and secret mementos and charms stitched into it; all for a special girl!
Just a sneaky preview of a baby project I am working on! So nice to be all MOVED and have a chance to do something fun for a change!!
Cute little dop bags finished with some favorite fabric from Mom and Megg's in Dandridge, TN.
Love the linings too!
Just so adorable! Momma duck and babies sailed by on the canal... hope we get to watch them grow up!
This is a quilt I had started on and I am really eager to get back to work on it. This moving jazz is really getting old; its NO FUN cleaning up all the hidden places that are revealed and all the dirt and dust and figuring out where to put stuff or whether to move it at all! But here are some peeps of the work in progress:
Suffering through moving from one house to one less than half the size. But found 2 old pictures sent to me by "Miss Bea" in Newport, TN. Just wanted to save them to here, here she is with a surprise quilt I made for her back in 2012.
She wanted me to have a picture of "her and her quilt." I called it Miss Bea's Flower Garden because she is a great gardener. Here is a snap of fall trees in her yard in 2011.
Spent last week at the Florida Flywheelers... searching 19 miles of vendors with everything motor-ish for bits of fabric. I actually found some! its really an event for the guys... but here is a peep...
last picture in slide show is a selfie in a Mercedes...
I have always been an artist and with art quilts I have found a way to combine my two loves of painting and textiles.
